As the race for 2023 presidency get momentum, former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has insisted the presidency of Nigeria must come from the south not the north.
Fayose who took to the twitter on Wednesday to express his view said ” the current President of Nigeria is a 2-term Northern Presidency, thus implying that it MUST be a Southern Presidency in 2023 or NOTHING.”
Fayose said it is either Nigeria produces a southern president or nothing. ” Awa ‘South’ lo kan’. Nigerians should await details soon.”
Fayose’s position came on the background of the allegations that he may be working against his party the PDP in the coming general elections.

It would be recalled that Fayose supported Governor Wike aganist Atiku Abubakar in the last PDP convention.
However, in his reaction Fayose’s former deputy, Prof. Olusola Eleka said ” It’s time to rescue our party from the hands of greedy and selfish oppressors. No man is God!”
