12 states have enacted tax reforms law – Taiwo Oyedele
Minister of State for Finance designate, Taiwo Oyedele, has said at least 12 sates have enacted the Tax Harmonisation Law, a key component of the Federal Government’s tax reform initiatives,
Oyedele made this known on Wednesday during a graduation ceremony for the MTN Foundation’s Young Innovators and Entrepreneurs Training Initiative held at the Continental Hotel in Abuja.
He noted that an additional 13 states have already tabled the law before their State Houses of Assembly for consideration, while others are at various stages of implementation.
He highlighted the overarching goals of President Tinubu’s tax reforms: modernizing Nigeria’s fiscal framework to enable businesses to thrive, protect vulnerable populations, and drive economic transformation.
