24 hours after Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho house in Ibadan was raided by the Department of State Security, DSS, the governors of region held a meeting.
Though not clear if Sunday Igboho’s issue was raised in the meeting, but the south west region of the country has been in the news since Igboho’s house was raided.
Many condemned the DSS’s action while some also believe it was a right thing to be done due to the threat for succession being called for by Sunday Igboho.
As at the time of this report, efforts to get the full details of the meeting have not yielded results.
At a media briefing on Thursday, Peter Afunanya, DSS spokesman, declared Igboho wanted after the raid. He said the security agency recovered illegal arms — including seven AK-47 rifles — and thousands of ammunition from the youth leader’s house.
