JAMES 2 VERSE 14 – 26
14…what doth it profit, my brethren, through a man say he hath faith, and have not works?can faith, save him?…15…if a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,…16…And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled;notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needed to the body;what doth it profit?…17…Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone…18…Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works…19…Thou believest that there is one God;Thou doest well:the devils also believe, and tremble…20…But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?…21…Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?…22…seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?…23…And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness:and he was called the friend of God…24…Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only…25…likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messenger, and had sent them out another way?…26…for as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. (MSG)
So many people speak empty faith without works to back it up, we now live in a generation where most young people confess faith without works to mixed it up and that’s why they are struggling with their God. “Dear friend, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this world if you learn all the right words but never do anything?Does merely talking faith indicate that a person has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rag and half starving and say, ‘Good morning, friend Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy spirit!’ And walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup – where does that get you? Isn’t it obvious that God – talk without God – acts is outrageous nonsense? I can already hear one of you agreeing by saying, ‘sound good. You take care of the faith department. I’ll handle the works department. ‘ Not so fast. You can no more show me your works apart from your faith than i can show you my faith apart from my works. Faith and works, work and faith, fit together hand in the glove……..the very moment you Seperate body and spirit, you end up with a CORPSE. separate faith from works you get the same thing:a CORPSE
Success is never an accident, neither is progress a coincidence. A lot of Christian don’t really understand how the system of the world and the things of the spirit works; They have not been able to balance the dynamism of the spirit with earthly maneuverings to maximize destiny From our opening scripture, faith without practical application of strategy and planning will not work. As long as you are on earth, believing alone will not help you; folding your hands, not building systems and structures to support your progress means you are on the path of failure and poverty. You can not believe for something and not have practical and sufficient plans for it mixed with faith and your faith in God is reflected in the pragmatic steps you have taken. Believe and act now, success is never an accident it’s a calculated attempt of work backed up with unshakeable knowledge that faith in God work’s.
