Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has stated that the Federal Government’s lopsided approach to governance and appointments are the major cause of agitations across the country.
Governor Ortom made the assertion yesterday while addressing journalists at the Makurdi Airport on his return from a visit to his Akwa Ibom State counterpart, Emmanuel Udom.
He said: “Separatist and secessionist agitations by Nigerians were fuelled by marginalisation of other parts of the country in key decisions and lopsided appointments among other perceived forms of impunity by the presidency.”
The governor, who vowed to deal with anyone that dares him for speaking against evil, blamed such attacks on persons who want to see the continuation of impunity and injustice in the country.
It would be observed that Governor Ortom has been on a battle line with the Muhammadu Buhari’s presidency in the last one year.
