Fayose Replies Gov. Fayemi Over N57 Billion Debt Allegation

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has responded to the allegation of N57 billion debt raised against him by Governor Kayode Fayemi saying the Governor was elected to do what he could not do when he was in office.

Governor Fayemi had accused him of leaving N57 billion unpaid workers’ salaries and Pension arrears.

But, Fayose in his response to Governor Fayemi allegation through his twitter handle said,” I read without surprise & as usual Governor kayode Fayemi usual brandishing of figures owed Ekiti workers & retirees by my administration. Without joining issues with him, rather than public service announcement, I enjoin him to pay the workers. Moreso he was “voted” for to do what I couldn’t do.”

While congratulating Governor Fayemi on his one year anniversary, Fayose urged him to mark the ceremony with ” visible projects” that will speak for him after his tenor.
